Kate's Current Reading List

Lilith's Brood

This is three of her novels in one edition. I love Octavia Butler. In the first novel of this collection, Earth was in the process of destroying itself when an alien race swooped in to save us. They put us to sleep and have been studying us, waking us up in small groups. It feels like there is a catch... there is always a catch.

The Country of the Pointed Firs

This one is just pleasant. Set in Maine. It focuses on a quiet town and its inhabitants. The landscape is just as big of a character as the people characters. I am reading it out loud to my new born. 

The Whole-Brain Child

This is interesting. I already have put into practice some of the suggestions with my seven year old. I look forward to completing it.

Knitting Comfortably

I have wanted this one for a while. It came just in time for a carpel tunnel flair up. It was, in fact, the only book I could read pain free.

Drums of Autumn

I've been working on this for a while. I'll finished it eventually.

Clementine: The Life of Mrs. Winston Churchill

For those who don't know, I have an affection for Winston. I know very little about his wife, but I'm eager to learn more.
